Your traffic data never leaves your computer. We count what kinds of reports people make so we can make CountOwl better. That's it.

Your counts and reports

CountOwl runs in your browser. The counts you paste or type, the locations, dates and street names, and the PDF and Excel files you make are all handled on your computer. They're never uploaded to us or anyone else.

Your work in progress, logo and company name are saved in this browser so they're there next time. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What we do count

To learn which reports matter and where people get stuck, we record simple usage events, such as:

Each browser gets a random ID so we can tell how many different people use CountOwl. It isn't tied to your name or email.

What we never collect

We don't use advertising cookies, and we never sell or share data with advertisers.

Who helps us

Usage events go to PostHog, our analytics provider, on servers in the United States. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which also keeps standard, cookie-free visit statistics.

Turning it off

Browser ad and tracker blockers stop these events. You can also turn them off for this browser by opening countowl.app/?notrack=1 once.

If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top.
